KE Adventure Travel

KE is thrilled to introduce the newest edition of its Guide to Adventure magazine, packed with inspiration and a range of fresh itineraries for 2026. Whether it's uncovering the timeless charm of Laos on an easy-going self-guided trip, conquering eastern Georgia's highest summit, Mount Kazbek (5,054m), or camping and kayaking along the remote shores of Sweden's spectacular Bohuslän Archipelago - there's an adventure for every explorer. Now celebrating 42 years, KE remains dedicated to creating active, immersive journeys that connect travellers with the world in unforgettable ways.

Inside this issue, you'll discover why Madeira has become one of KE's most popular destinations, how our trusted safari partner is helping to sustain Southern Africa and the incredible story of Matt Sharman's expedition “A Thousand Words”, where he set out to recreate the first-ever photograph of Mount Everest - 125 years later.

Other highlights include:

  • Journalist Brendan Daly's travels through Kazakhstan
  • KE's CEO Ashley Toft marking his 60th in Switzerland
  • Team member Chloe reaching the summit of Africa
  • US traveller Al Donatio reflecting on his 37 KE trips (and counting!)
  • Trail magazine journalist Ben Weeks on his epic GR20 trek
  • A first taste of the Himalaya
  • 20 best UNESCO sites on a KE Adventure holiday

KE has recently expanded its Pioneer holiday collection with three bold new trips for 2026 including an epic snowshoe expedition traversing Norway from north to south, plus two thrilling cycling journeys: one through the unique landscapes of Rwanda and another combining South Africa's Cross Cape and Karoo Crossing routes.

The Self-Guided range also continues to flourish, now making up nearly 24% of KE's entire collection. Exciting new additions include Switzerland's Wildstrubel Circuit, Hiking Highlights of the Albanian Alps and Walking on Malta and Gozo. KE remains committed to variety and balance. Around 35% of the range now feature more leisurely walking and cycling holidays, while nearly a quarter of trips are designed for those seeking tough, challenging itineraries.

Check out Issue 42 – it's filled with inspiring stories and even a quiz to test your UNESCO knowledge.
