Le Méridien Melbourne's sell-out Monthly Wine Masterclass returns this September with a once-off Friday evening edition, perfectly timed for the AFL Grand Final long weekend.  

For its fifth instalment, the spotlight turns to Hirsch Hill Winery, a family-owned winery in the Yarra Valley known for elegant, cool-climate varietals, with celebrated winemaker Peter Mackey behind the incredible and well-awarded wines.

The concept is simple yet distinctive: a cellar door experience in the heart of Melbourne's CBD.  

Hosted in INTERMISSION, the hotel's intimate wine bar and lobby lounge, the evening brings together just 38 guests seated at communal tables for a guided tasting, led by the winemaker. It's an atmosphere designed for connection — generous pours, shared plates, and easy conversation across the table.

Guests will enjoy four wines from Hirsch Hill, paired with chef-prepared small plates that complement each pour. Expect an informal, convivial format: less classroom, more dinner party — a chance to discover, taste, and connect with fellow wine lovers in one of Melbourne's most stylish settings. 

At just $45 per person, tickets include four generous glasses of wine, guided commentary from the winemaker, shared seasonal plates, and exclusive offers on the night: 10% off Hirsch Hill bottles to drink in or take home, and 20% off dinner at DOLLY, the hotel's signature European restaurant.

With only 38 seats available, and past events featuring Penfolds, Scorpo, Punt Road, and Onannon all selling out well in advance, demand is expected to be strong.
