Featured Breweries on the Lubbock Brewery Crawl
- The Brewery LBK: Recognised by USA Today as one of the top brewpubs in the country, this downtown favourite blends culinary creativity with brewing expertise. Located in the historic Pioneer Building, the space offers industrial design, a spacious patio, and a wide selection of house-made beers. Notable offerings include the New England Style IPA, Lieutenant Dan, and the Kerb Crawler Belgian Tripel. Head brewer Sally Taylor, one of the few female brewers in the nation, brings vision and skill to every batch.
- Triple J Chophouse & Brew Co.: Lubbock’s first craft brewery, Triple J helped shape the local beer scene. Favourites like White Gold Golden Ale and Raider Red Amber Ale are long-time staples. Guests can kick back to live music, hearty fare like the Choppy Bob Nachos, and a lively atmosphere in the heart of downtown.
- Mano Negra Brewing Co.: Just last month, Lubbock welcomed its first and only Latino-owned nano-brewery, Mano Negra Brewing Co. Founded by Puerto Rican native and brewmaster Daniel Badillo, this intimate taproom is already buzzing with excitement. Their flagship Ma’s Cream Ale is a light, corny, and refreshing ale, a perfect introduction to their lineup. Coffee lovers will enjoy the Yagrumo Coffee Ale, while adventurous drinkers can try the Zaragoza Xalapeno Saison, loaded with bold jalapeno flavour minus the scorch. The taproom hosts weekly events, like salsa lessons on Wednesdays, trivia nights, comedy evenings, and art-show meet-ups that turn its walls into a welcoming community space.
- Good Line Beer Co.: Named one of the Best New Breweries of 2022 by Hop Culture Magazine, Good Line Beer Co. has quickly made its mark on Lubbock’s craft beer scene. This hybrid production brewery and laid-back taproom is known for standout sips like the Catastrophe Girlfriend, a tart, raspberry-infused Berliner Weisse that’s as bold as its name.
- Two Docs Brewing Co.: What began as a hobby has evolved into one of Lubbock’s most beloved breweries. Now a staple in the Cultural District, this spot blends passion and craftsmanship in every pour. Whether you're craving a hoppy hit or something uniquely West Texas, you’re in good hands here. Must-try brews include the Buddy Hoppy IPA, Two Docs Bock, and the locally inspired Chilton Gose.
Uncorking Lubbock’s Wine Scene
Lubbock is more than a beer destination. It’s also the gateway to one of the most significant wine regions in the country. The Texas High Plains (THP) spans over eight million acres and accounts for more than 80% of Texas-grown wine grapes. This area is the second-largest American Viticulture Area (AVA) in the state and third largest in the U.S. More than seventy vineyards lie within an hour’s drive of the city. The Texas High Plains Wine Trail offers a mobile pass with exclusive discounts and curated visits to top wineries. Some of the top wineries in the area include Llano Estacado Winery, the largest and one of the most storied wineries in Texas, McPherson Cellars, voted as one of the top tasting rooms across the nation by USA Today and La Diosa Cellars, a family-owned vineyard known for its international inspiration.
Celebrate the best of West Texas wine at Lubbock Uncorked, held at the American Windmill Museum featuring wine tastings from across the state, delicious eats from local vendors, and live music from some of Lubbock’s favourite performers. Tickets go on sale February 2026.
