The first event of the Extraordinary Canada Consortium took place in São Paulo on Wednesday, September 3, with only 1% no-show and the attendance of over 120 travel agents carefully selected by the 12 tour operators that make up the Extraordinary Canada Consortium.
The operators are: Abreutur, BRT Operadora, CT Operadora, Diversa Turismo, Flot Operadora, Lusanova, New Age, Orinter, Personal Canada, QBy, TradeTours, and TT Operadora.
Created by VBRA, the Consortium promotes Canadian travel products by combining Air Canada's air services with the land experiences of DMC Global Tourisme, with the support of partners such as Destination Ontario, Tourisme Laurentides, Tremblant Resort, and the train journeys of VIA Rail Canada and Rocky Mountaineer.
In addition to ready-to-sell packages available through participating operators — featuring experiences with all these partners — the Consortium also provides specific training sessions for each one.
Air Canada was represented by Sandra Passetto, Sales Executive for the airline, while all other partners were represented by Sheila Nassar, CEO of VBRA.
The São Paulo event was the first in a series, with upcoming editions already confirmed for Rio de Janeiro and Campinas.
