Ker & Downey® Africa, a leading luxury travel company headquartered in Cape Town, South Africa, has launched its latest safari, an epic Mad Max-inspired adventure in some of Namibia's most remote and breathtaking destinations.

Designed for discerning travelers who crave untamed wilderness, the Mad Max Safari fuses adventure with uncompromising comfort. It offers tailored experiences, rare access to some of Namibia's most remote destinations, and luxurious accommodations offering heightened service levels.

Mad Max

Mad Max is a cult-classic action film series set in a post-apocalyptic wasteland where society has collapsed and survival hinges on scarce resources, speed, and brute force. The original 1979 film introduces Max Rockatansky, a former police officer turned lone drifter, who seeks vengeance after violent marauders destroy his family. Later installments, especially Mad Max: Fury Road, expand this world into an anarchic desert ruled by warlords, punctuated by fierce car chases, surreal costumes, and vast, elemental landscapes.

It is these elemental landscapes that travelers will be able to explore on Ker & Downey® Africa's new Mad Max safari, including Sossusvlei's sweeping sand dunes, the rugged mountains and vast plains of Kaokoland, and the majestic Damaraland, known for its dramatic desert landscapes and ancient rock art.

Guests will enjoy a mixture of traditional game drives, private chartered flights, hot-air balloon rides, and dune driving, to name just a few of the exhilarating experiences on offer.

“This itinerary is fully customizable and perfect for travelers seeking exhilarating adventure in dramatic landscapes while connecting with local cultures,” says Jenieen van den Heever, Chief Operating Officer at Ker & Downey® Africa. “Our Mad Max-inspired journey offers a bold, unforgettable way to discover Namibia – from the wild thrill of a Sandwich Harbour dune tour to soaring above shipwreck-strewn coastlines on a scenic flight. With the combination of driving and flying, guests will experience Namibia from every angle. The flight over Swakopmund and the Skeleton Coast is a true bucket-list moment, and an absolute highlight of this extraordinary adventure.”
