The heart of the glamping site is The Tipi, home to a fully stocked bar, games area and relaxing seating.

Pirate Summer at Quex Adventure Farm Park, Quex Park, Birchington
The Adventure Farm Park is transforming into a pirate's paradise for summer with a new Pirate Cove Splash Zone, promising a tidal wave of fun with Captain Splash and his scurvy sidekicks, Splish and Splosh.
There's a high-energy Pirate Dance Show, magical bubble bonanzas, daring Walk the Plank Challenge, treasure hunts, Captain Splash's Ultimate Foam Party, and Cheeky Pirate Chickens Tractor Ride to add to the swashbuckling fun.
New for 2025 are giant paddling pools included in the Farm Park ticket. These shallow, outdoor pools are perfect for children to cool off, splash and play during warm days at the park.
Rainy day promise - if it rains persistently for more than one hour during your visit, and you booked your tickets in advance, you can return for free within the next 30 days (terms and conditions apply).
Also at Quex Adventure Farm Park, bouncing pillows, farmyard animals, highland cows, play equipment, giant zipwire, giant sandpit, maize maze, woodland trail and toddler village.

Margate SUP and Surf, Margate Main Sands
Visitors to Margate can now enjoy paddleboarding, wingsurf and wingfoil sessions. Margate SUP and Surf is an accredited British Stand Up Paddle Association school, working in partnership with Margate Yacht Club.
Session availability and booking options are based around the most suitable high tide times, offering nice sheltered conditions from Margate harbour.
Margate Sup and Surf offer paddleboard rentals directly off Margate main sands when conditions are suitable. Opening times are posted on their socials at @margatesupandsurf
SUP beginner lesson from £40; SUP private 1-1 lesson from £90; SUP private lesson for 2 from £110; SUP Private Group Session for 3-8 people from £135; SUP family session from £130. All these sessions are 1.5 hours.
They also cater for large group bookings such as hen and stag parties, corporate bookings and other private or family groups.

Captain D's first UK restaurant opening at Westwood Cross, Broadstairs
This autumn will see the first UK opening of Captain D's in the UK at Westwood Cross in Broadstairs.
Captain D's is an American company specialising in a versatile seafood and chicken menu that is sensitive to cultural tastes. Their signature items include world famous battered dipped fish (classic and spicy), hand breaded chicken tenders, breaded butterfly shrimp and their signature hush puppies. Their deluxe Seafood Platter and Seafood Feast offer a variety of options, including crispy butterfly shrimp, seafood and stuffed crab shells.
The opening is part of a 20-unit master franchise agreement for the UK with CD's Holdings, and is part of the company's vision to become a global brand and introduce its quality seafood and hospitality to seafood lovers around the world.
