Portsmouth, NH — July 28th, 2025
On Thursday, July 24, JGroup Hospitality hosted A Night to Nourish, a sold-out collaborative dinner at The 801 Event Space in support of No Kid Hungry. The event brought together six Seacoast chefs for a one-night-only celebration of food and community, raising a total of $13,175 to help end childhood hunger in America.
Guests were treated to a welcome cocktail and passed appetizers, followed by a five-course seated dinner, with each course prepared by a different chef and paired with a beverage. The participating chefs included:
- Chef Harley Smith, Jumpin' Jay's Fish Café
- Chef Brandon Diaz, Moxy
- Chef David Vargas, Vida Cantina
- Chef Will Myska, Ore Nell's Barbecue
- Chef Elisabeth Townsend, Vida Cantina
- Guest Chef Lee Frank, Otis
“It means so much to bring our team together in the kitchen for something bigger than ourselves,” said David Vargas, Chef and Partner at Vida Cantina. “Food is how we connect with our community, and this dinner is a way for us to give back and help ensure every child has access to the meals they need.”
A Night to Nourish was part of Chefs Celebrating 40, a national series honoring Share Our Strength's 40th anniversary and supporting its No Kid Hungry campaign. The campaign works to connect kids with the meals they need year-round, especially during the summer when school is out.
