Perched above the treetops in the heart of the Lizard Peninsula National Landscape, Daskor Treehouse is the latest addition to Unique Hideaways' growing collection of handcrafted hideaways. Built from reclaimed local chestnut wood, this architecturally designed escape offers a unique combination of rustic charm and contemporary comfort, sleeping up to five guests and welcoming dogs.
Daskor, meaning “to restore” in Cornish, has been thoughtfully created to blend with its natural surroundings. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame far-reaching views across the canopy and rolling countryside beyond, while natural textures, calming tones and considered design features bring a peaceful, grounded feel to the space.
The open-plan living area includes a fully equipped kitchen, a dining space, and a cosy lounge complete with a Jøtul wood burner. Two tranquil bedrooms include a king-size master with leafy views and a second bedroom with another king-size bed, plus a pull-out single for a fifth guest. Clever storage solutions are built into the timber-clad design, and underfloor heating runs throughout for year-round comfort.
Outside, a private deck offers uninterrupted views over the surrounding treetops and Cornish countryside. Guests can unwind in the freestanding stone outdoor bath, enjoy a quiet morning coffee, or gather around the fire pit as the sun sets.
The location is peaceful and secluded, yet within easy reach of some of Cornwall's most beloved spots. The pretty creekside village of Gweek is nearby, while the Helford River and its network of peaceful waterways are perfect for paddleboarding or kayaking. The dramatic cliffs and turquoise waters of Kynance Cove are just a short drive away, and further afield, the vibrant town of Falmouth offers galleries, subtropical gardens and acclaimed seafood restaurants.
