LEADING THE WAY IN DATA-DRIVEN SUSTAINABILITY

Zannier Bãi San Hô is among the first hotels in Asia to earn the Verified Bamboo Badge from Tuu Eco Stay Awards - a platform that measures actual operational impact across Energy, Water, Food, Waste, and Human Resources. Each metric is independently verified by HLB International, using on-site documentation reviews and audits to ensure accuracy.

Located in Vietnam's south-central coast, Zannier Bãi San Hô integrates traditional architecture, low-impact construction, and a strong local hiring programme across its 240-acre site. The resort generates 35% of its energy from 655 rooftop solar panels, has removed all the single-use plastics from guest villas, and has updated its purchasing policies to favour domestic suppliers, reducing imported food to just 10%.

Greenwashing has unfortunately been too common - even in our industry,” says Alain K. Bachmann, General Manager. “We were drawn to Tuu because it's fact-based, not fiction. It shows us where we stand and gives us a roadmap for real, verifiable improvement.

COMMUNITY FIRST, ALWAYS

Sustainability at Zannier Bãi San Hô goes beyond environmental efforts. The resort supports local marine conservation through SASA Marine Animal Rescue, provides in-kind aid to neighbouring villages such as Phu Mo, and partners with vocational schools to build
pathways for local youth.

Operationally, the resort uses on-site water filtration systems that meet bottled water standards and recently shifted staff laundry to an outsourced energy-efficient system, reducing internal energy usage and improving employee wellbeing.

Our sustainability plan covers everything from biodiversity and fair trade to health and safety,” says Bachmann. “We're committed to making a positive, lasting impact – not just for the environment, but for our community, our team, and future generations of guests.

A LEGACY OF RECOGNITION IN SUSTAINABILITY

This latest accolade builds on Zannier Bãi San Hô's longstanding commitment to environmental and social responsibility. The resort has proudly held Green Globe Certification since 2023 - an internationally recognised benchmark that assesses over 380
indicators across 44 criteria, including conservation, community engagement, and operational
efficiency.

In 2024, the resort was named “Best Sustainable Resort of the Year” by LUXUO Asia, with General Manager Alain K. Bachmann accepting the award at a high-profile ceremony celebrating Asia's sustainability leaders. It was also honoured as “Eco-Friendly Resort of the Year” by TravelLive, spotlighting its innovative practices and ecosystem-first approach.

This growing list of sustainability accwolades is further validated by Zannier Bãi San Hô's data-backed Bamboo Badgefrom the Tuu Eco Stay Awards - recognition that reflects a holistic and verified approach to ESG. “Tangible, transparent leadership is what sets a new standard,” says Terry
Blackburn, founder of the Tuu Eco Stay Awards. “Zannier Bãi San Hô proves that a luxury experience and a responsible one can go hand in hand. By making progress visible and verifiable, they move beyond empty claims and into real, measurable change.

COMMITMENT TO EXCELLENCE

Beyond sustainability, Zannier Bãi San Hô continues to earn international recognition for its exceptional design, authentic experiences, and standout service. Most notably, the resort was named “Hotel of the Year” in Tatler Asia's Best-in-Class Hotels Vietnam 2025 and featured on its exclusive list of 100 Best-in-Class Hotels across the continent.

Judged by a panel of travel insiders and industry experts, the accolade celebrates destinations that are redefining modern luxury in Asia.

Zannier Bãi San Hô's design philosophy embraces natural imperfection, echoing the textures and traditions of its Phu Yen surrounds. From the Paddy Field Villas inspired by floating fishing villages to the Hill Pool Villas that pay homage to the longhouses of the Ede people, and Beach Pool Villas reflecting Cham coastal life - each space tells a story of place. Earthy tones, local craftsmanship, and open-plan layouts allow the landscape to flow seamlessly into every corner of the resort.

The resort's global appeal was further underscored when it was awarded “Best Beach Resort Vietnam 2025” by Global Business and Finance Magazine and crowned “World's Best Resort” at the Hôtel & Lodge Awards 2025 in Paris. The jury praised its authentic design and deeply rooted cultural sensibility.

These recognitions follow Zannier Bãi San Hô's inclusion in The Telegraph's “Top 50 Hotels 2024 – World's Greatest Places to Stay” (as the only Vietnamese resort featured), and the “Best Beachside Hotel & Restaurant Group 2024” award from LUX Life.

These awards reflect the passion and purpose of our teams,” says Arnaud Zannier, Founder & CEO of Zannier Hotels. “They reaffirm our commitment to creating extraordinary guest experiences, rooted in place and guided by purpose, like here at Zannier Bãi San Hô, where simplicity, culture, and nature converge.
