May 4–8, 2026 | Boquete, Panama
In 2026, REMOTE Immersion, the boutique travel show curated by REMOTE Latin America, celebrates a decade of meaningful connections, bold collaborations, and a shared vision for independent, small-scale, high-end, and positive-impact tourism across Latin America and the Caribbean. To mark this milestone year, REMOTE will host a single, special edition in the heart of the Americas: the highlands of Boquete, Panama.
REMOTE Immersion Boquete will take place from May 4–8, 2026, in one of Central America's most captivating and still under-the-radar destinations. Cradled in the emerald highlands of Chiriquí province, Boquete is a valley where cloud forests and world-renowned coffee farms converge to create an extraordinary sense of place. Beyond its landscapes, adventures and flavors, Boquete is a community-driven destination where innovation meets tradition and sustainability meets soul, echoing the REMOTE spirit in every way.
More than an itinerant travel show, REMOTE Immersion is a purpose-driven, curated experience. Over four dynamic days, the event brings together travel designers, hoteliers, and Destination Management Companies (DMCs) who are redefining the future of travel in Latin America and the Caribbean. Each edition is thoughtfully crafted around four pillars: handpicked business meetings, cultural and outdoor experiences, inspiring content, and warm social gatherings, all designed to spark connection, collaboration, and long-term positive impact.
Since its inaugural edition in 2016 in the Brazilian Amazon, REMOTE Immersion has journeyed through Chilean Patagonia, Las Catalinas (Costa Rica), Barichara (Colombia), Cafayate (Argentina), Cuenca (Ecuador), Puyehue (Chile), and Antigua Guatemala — and will host its ninth edition in Chapada dos Veadeiros, Brazil, in October 2025.
“We're celebrating ten years of meaningful connections, unforgettable journeys, and a deeply connected global community bound by values that reach far beyond tourism. Each REMOTE Immersion is one of a kind. We dive deep into the essence of each destination, embracing its strengths and navigating its challenges. And Boquete, Panama, has revealed itself as that rare place where reconnection feels both natural and powerful,” says Roberto Bitelman, director of REMOTE Latin America.
Panama: The gateway to connection
With over 1,300 weekly flights from more than 80 cities around the world, Panama is uniquely positioned as a bridge, not just between oceans and continents, but between cultures, ecosystems, and people. From lush tropical forests and vibrant Afro-Caribbean and Indigenous communities to spectacular marine biodiversity and award-winning gastronomy, Panama invites travelers to go beyond the expected and deeper into connection.
Having Visit Panamá as the official host destination for REMOTE Immersion 2026 strengthens REMOTE Latin America's commitment to showcasing destinations that embrace diversity, inclusion, authenticity, transformation, and responsibility in tourism. And in 2026, Boquete will be the vibrant heart of this celebration, welcoming the REMOTE community to experience its rich flavors, warm people, and deep-rooted connection to land and legacy.
“Hosting REMOTE Immersion in Panama is a significant milestone for our country — a unique opportunity to showcase our ongoing commitment to innovation, sustainability, and cultural heritage. Through small-scale, responsible, and positive-impact tourism, REMOTE embodies the very values that define our destination,” says Gabriella Rodriguez, Travel Trade Coordinator of Visit Panama.
