Yokohama, Japan, July 02, 2025—The Westin Yokohama, a lifestyle hotel that embodies a new generation of well-being, will open its new international buffet restaurant, PACIFIC TABLE, for breakfast, a weekday and weekend lunch buffet and a weekday afternoon dessert buffet, from Thursday, 3 July 2025. An additional breakfast service will commence on Monday, 7 July.
PACIFIC TABLE, on the third floor of The Westin Yokohama, is located in the city's central business and commercial district, Minato Mirai. Honoring its location on a former shipbuilding site, PACIFIC TABLE is a gastronomic representation of the history of Yokohama Port. This gateway to the Pacific Ocean has long been a major bridge between Japan and the rest of the world, where exotic produce and flavorsome ingredients were imported to Japan's shores.
PACIFIC TABLE continues this city's tradition of adopting and adapting international cuisine. Its abundant weekday and weekend lunch buffets feature global dishes made with fresh, domestically sourced ingredients, including Misaki Port seafood paella, local meats, and seasonal vegetables harvested by Kanagawa farmers. As part of The Westin's commitment to well-being, the PACIFIC TABLE buffet will include Eat Well menu items, such as a salad bar and açai station, specially created to be nutritious options for the health-conscious gourmand Those with a sweet tooth mustn't miss PACIFIC TABLE's purpose-built pink-hued dessert room, piled highwith the world's best desserts, reimagined with a tropical, oceanic twist and local ingredients. The full dessert showcase of around 30 desserts can be experienced exclusively during the weekday Dessert Buffet.

The weekend lunch buffet also features a large selection of salads, charcuterie and cheese, miniatures, chilled dishes, sushi, pizza, live stations and desserts.

The Irish national trained in the culinary arts in Galway, Ireland, before working in prestigious restaurants and hotels in the UAE, China, and now Japan.

PACIFIC TABLE's Chef de Cuisine, Yamamoto Kazuhiro, has joined The Westin Yokohama to helm the new restaurant. His career has seen him graduate from culinary school in Osaka before working in Tokyo's famous French restaurants, Queen Alice and Hiramatsu, as well as The Westin Tokyo, Tokyo Bay Maihama Hotel, The Ritz-Carlton Tokyo, and Happoen.
The restaurant's Executive Pastry Chef, Takahiro Shirayama, has won more than 30 awards in competitions such as the Coupe du Monde de la Patisserie Japan Qualifier, the West Japan Pastry Contest, and the Top Pastry Chef in Asia. He supervises the making of all of the hotel's pastries, including those at Sugar Merchant and Lobby Lounge.
