In a global wellness economy now valued at over US$5.6 trillion, with thermal springs representing a thriving US$43 billion sector*, Peninsula Hot Springs has long stood as a pioneer and leader of Australia's wellness tourism movement.
Since opening in 2005, the award-winning destination has welcomed over 8 million guests from across the globe to relax, recharge and connect, immersed in the natural geothermal waters flowing beneath Victoria's Mornington Peninsula.
Inspired by ancient traditions and bathing cultures around the world, Peninsula Hot Springs has evolved over two decades into one of the country's most renowned wellness destinations, offering over 70 globally inspired bathing and wellness experiences across 42 acres of tranquil coastal bushland.
Charles Davidson, Co-Founder and Co-Owner, reflects “What started as a dream to introduce Australians to the magic of geothermal bathing has become something so much greater. We've created a space where people can truly return to themselves, a place where the healing power of nature, community, and connection can be felt every day. This celebration is about honouring everyone who has walked this journey with us.”
The grassy coastal bushland that became Peninsula Hot Springs was purchased in 1997 and slowly transformed, with a bold vision to reconnect people to the deep well of their being and the regenerative power of nature. Today, the well-established facility is recognised and loved globally, consistently championing a commitment to the environment, community, and innovation. The site boasts a luxurious spa and wellness centre, glamping accommodation and brand-new Eco-Lodges, immersive cultural programming, and partnerships with over 130 local suppliers that hero the best of the Mornington Peninsula.
Customer wellness remains at the heart of the Peninsula Hot Springs experience. The 20-year milestone is not simply a celebration of time passed, but a testament to the enduring values of presence, care, and transformation. Global wellness leader and board member, Bharat Mitra says “This sanctuary has become a centre of peace, a space where individuals can reconnect with nature, with each other, and with the deeper essence of themselves. As we reflect on this milestone, we are reminded that true wellness emerges from conscious presence and shared intention."
To mark this incredible milestone, Peninsula Hot Springs will host a series of special events, wellness retreats, community initiatives, and collaborations throughout 2025, inviting guests old and new to celebrate a wellness journey 20 years in the making.
