Scott Henderson, Executive Chef

Scott Henderson now helms the culinary team at The Capitol Kempinski Hotel Singapore. In his new role, he will lead the hotel's culinary direction, overseeing the all-day dining at 15 Stamford Restaurant, Lobby Lounge, The Bar at 15 Stamford, Capitol Bistro, Bar and Patisserie, as well as banqueting operations at the hotel's unique function spaces, including the iconic Capitol Theatre.

An experienced Executive Chef with a distinguished track record in international luxury hospitality across four continents, Scott brings more than 20 years of experience from some of the world's most prestigious addresses, including Shangri-La Vancouver, Kuala Lumpur and Shanghai. His most recent appointment was the Ritz-Carlton, Guangzhou, where he led a team of 110 chefs and oversaw five dining venues, including Lai Heen – the hotel's fine Cantonese restaurant, which has retained its Michelin star consecutively since the inaugural Michelin Guide Guangzhou in 2018.

With a specialisation in modern European cuisine grounded in classical training, Scott emphasises a seamless fusion of international flavours with local touches while maintaining each concept's integrity. He is committed to sustainable sourcing, supporting the local community and driving results through strong employee engagement and guest satisfaction, all underpinned by a hands-on operational approach.

During this spare time, Scott enjoys outdoor running and looks forward to discovering Singapore's vibrant food culture.

'We are thrilled to have both Anita and Scott on our leadership team. I am confident that with their extensive experience and expertise, they will lead the team to greater successes and continue positioning our hotel as Singapore's leading luxury heritage hotel, offering unparalleled guest experiences. From our historic setting – housed within the masterfully restored Stamford House and the Capitol Building – to world-class, one-of-a-kind events at Capitol Theatre, the team is well placed to set a new standard in Singapore's competitive hospitality landscape', says Andras Biro, General Manager of The Capitol Kempinski Hotel Singapore.
