The Langham, Melbourne is delighted to unveil a charming collaboration with iconic British lifestyle brand Laura Ashley, presenting a limited-edition Laura Ashley inspired Afternoon Tea. Available from 1 July to 14 August 2025, this beautifully curated experience will be served in the hotel's elegant Aria Bar & Lounge every Tuesday to Thursday, with two sittings daily.
Paying homage to the rich heritage of two beloved British brands—Laura Ashley and The Langham—this special afternoon tea celebrates timeless elegance through both taste and presentation. The menu showcases traditional British favourites, thoughtfully reimagined with a refined, modern twist.
Guests will enjoy:
Cucumber and whipped chive butter sandwiches, a delicate and refreshing classic,
Coronation chicken sandwiches, a regal staple layered with spice and richness,
A soft and airy strawberry and rhubarb Victoria Sponge, bursting with fresh flavour,
And the signature Langham Battenberg cake to share, a playful nod to tradition with The Langham's unique touch
Each afternoon tea is paired with a glass of Taittinger Champagne, adding a sparkling flourish to the occasion.
In a unique design element, the Aria Bar & Lounge will be decorated with the beautiful Laura Ashley Aria Print, a romantic design from the brand's extensive archive. The Aria print will be on display across printed menus and bespoke table runners created exclusively for this collaboration by Laura Ashley's soft furnishings partner, Basford Brands. Chosen specifically for the synergy between the print and the Aria Bar & Lounge, this thoughtful design touch connects the venue and the Laura Ashley aesthetic in a way that is both elegant and immersive. It is expected to spark meaningful conversations and delight both guests and staff, deepening the connection between the brands and the setting.
Executive Chef, Thomas Rappl shared his inspiration behind the menu, saying:

Laura Ashley's floral aesthetic inspired us to create a tea experience that feels both nostalgic and fresh—beautiful to look at and memorable to taste. It's a menu that honours tradition while inviting guests to linger and indulge."
