24 April 2025: Chia Laguna Resort, one of Sardinia's premier holiday destinations, is expanding its sports offering this summer with the launch of four new academies: Padel, Beach Volleyball, Self-Defence and Nature Fit. These new additions complement the resort's popular football programmes, with Campioni Soccer Academy, the Juventus Resort Experience and GZ19 Football Legends Academy, and cement the destination as the go-to choice for active holidays in Sardinia.  

Open to guests of all ages, the new academies will be led by top tier professionals and sports personalities, providing a chance to learn, hone skills and train in one of the Mediterranean's most impressive natural settings.  

Nature Fit: 21 – 26 July  

This holistic wellness experience will be led by Marta Cicognani, a certified trainer and technical director with extensive teaching credentials. Nature Fit sessions combine mindful movement with Sardinia's natural beauty, and participants can expect to reconnect with their bodies and the world around them.  

Open to guests aged 12+, the programme is free for all guests, with the following sessions:  

• 8am – 9am: Nature Awakening 

• 9am – 10am: Mat Pilates  

• 6pm: Silent walking fitness (Bluetooth headphones provided)  

• Followed by stretching and relaxation   

Padel Academy: 1 – 10 July and 11 – 20 August  

Led by international padel coach and former World Padel Tour top-110 player, Diego Russel García, this academy is designed to enhance technical skill and strategic play. Open to participants aged five and above, sessions will run from Monday to Friday, 9am – 11am, with tailored training for all levels.  

Beach Volleyball Academy: 11 – 20 July  

Aspiring athletes will have the chance to train with Italian volleyball legend, Maurizia Cacciatori, the former setter for the national team with over 220 caps and a glittering international record. Open to guests aged 10+, the training programme will run from Monday to Friday, 9am – 11am, blending technical training with coaching for personal growth and skilled teamplay.  

Self-Defence Academy: 21 – 30 August  

Krav Maga expert, Andrea Stella, the founder of Milan's Star Defence ASD, will lead this introductory course to practical self-defence techniques, emotional awareness and confidence building. The academy is suitable for participants aged 7+, with sessions taking place from Monday to Friday, 9am – 11am.  

Pricing for Padel, Beach Volleyball and Self-Defence Academies: 

• 5 days: €315 per person 

• 4 days: €270 per person 

• 3 days: €230 per person 

• 2 days: €165 per person 

• 1 day: €90 per person 

• Additional days (from day 6 onwards) - €60 per person
