Croatia will be directly connected with 122 foreign cities during summer

London, 2 April  2025 – According to data sourced by the Croatian National Tourist Board from the Croatian airports, focusing on the upcoming summer flight season, ranging from the end of March to end of October, Croatia will be connected with 122 foreign cities. The largest number of operations is planned for London, Frankfurt, Munich and Vienna. In the 2025 summer flight schedule, around 485 domestic and international flights should be on track, expected to generate 2 % increase in number of passenger aircraft operations in comparison to last year's summer flight schedule.

"Air traffic is extremely important for excellence of Croatian tourism, especially in terms of demand from long-haul source markets. Our goal is to improve air connectivity with foreign countries every year. This is especially important for our southern destinations, more reliant on air transport, and in the context of achieving the strategic goal of strengthening pre- and post-season tourist traffic. Air connectivity is extremely important outside the peak season because of the better accessibility of our destinations. This means that we must actively encourage launch of new unique connections, amounting to around 40 this year, but also to ensure earlier start, and make a strong focus on programs that connect key source geo-zones with Croatia. Therefore, this year we have allocated over 3 million euros for strategic partnerships, including cooperation with airlines. In this context, we expect that increase in the number of planned operations, marking a record, compared to last year's summer flight schedule, will have a positive impact on overall tourism results," said Kristjan Staničić, Director of the Croatian National Tourist Board, announcing the first major influx of guests to our country during the upcoming Easter holidays.

Additionally, during the summer flight season, direct connections between Croatia and 42 foreign countries are expected - mainly from Europe, while connections with destinations on other continents are planned, for example, for the USA, Canada, Korea, Qatar, UAE. Overall, almost all airports expect an increase in traffic, and the largest number of passenger aircraft operations is planned for the airports of Zagreb, Split and Dubrovnik. In terms of source markets, the largest number of passenger aircraft operations is planned for Germany, the UK, France, Italy and Poland.

The individual airports with the greatest frequency on routes to Croatia are Munich-Franz Josef Strauss, Frankfurt/Main-Frankfurt Airport, Vienna International, Amsterdam Airport Schiphol and London-Gatwick.

Overall, during the summer season, around 54 different airlines will operate on routes between Croatia and abroad, and the carriers that are expected to have the most rotations on domestic and international routes are Croatia Airlines, Ryanair, Easyjet, Eurowings and Lufthansa. For example, Ryanair will connect Croatian airports with more than 60 European cities this summer season, and Croatia Airlines with more than 30.

Croatia, the jewel of the Adriatic with over 1,000 idyllic islands, pristine coastlines, emerald-green forests, and charming medieval towns is just over two-hour flight away from the UK. From the crystal-clear beaches of the Dalmatian coast and the vibrant cities such as Zagreb and Split to the scenic hiking trails in majestic national parks like Plitvice Lakes and Krka, Croatia is truly a traveller's paradise.
