Holiday Inn Express & Suites, in partnership with Cycas Hospitality, celebrates the opening of the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Sion, marking the debut of the brand in Switzerland. The hotel opening forms part of the region's largest urban development, Cour de Gare, which will create over 5,700 m2 of retail space, alongside offices, apartments, parking areas and a concert & conference centre. 

Sion, capital of Valais, is one of Switzerland's oldest cities, and offers a vibrant blend of history and culture. Located within 4 Vallèes, the popular Swiss alpine ski region combining Verbier, Bruson, La Tzoumaz, Nendaz, Veysonnaz and Thyon/Les Collons comprising 410km of ski trails, the hotel will serve snow sports enthusiasts alongside local businesses and visitors to the adjacent concert and event arena. 

With a strong emphasis on ecologically-sound building practices and Switzerland's sustainability strategies, the Minergie-certified hotel will be accredited for use of sustainable energy consumption, recycling and waste reduction as well as partnerships with local suppliers.  

Holiday Inn Express & Suites Sion comprises 122 rooms, including 16 suites equipped with kitchenettes. 

Guests will appreciate modern amenities such as free high-speed Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, and in-room tea and coffee-making facilities. The hotel also features a ground-floor lobby bar & lounge, which will serve the included Express Start® Breakfast, and a meeting room suitable for conferences or private events. 

Conveniently situated within walking distance of Sion's railway station and a short 10-minute drive from Sion Airport, less than two hours from Geneva International Airport by train or car, Holiday Inn Express & Suites is a perfect base in the heart of the Swiss Alps for visiting nearby landmarks Château de Tourbillon and Valère Basilica.
