Greenwich Market

Spring is here - Easter is just around the corner and Greenwich Market is celebrating 40 years of the Arts and Craft Market. Traders are getting into the spirit of Easter with the Greenwich Market Eggstravaganza competition where traders are decorating their own 'egg' and the public will vote for their favourite.

Greenwich Market has been operating in various forms for over 300 years and is a royal charter market. This historic market is full of history, tradition and charm and in 1985 it was reimagined as a purveyor of arts and crafts. Today, it is the only covered market in London located in a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is renowned for arts, crafts, antiques and collectables as well as hugely popular and instagrammable street food.

To celebrate 40 years of arts and craft, as well as Easter, the traders at Greenwich Market are embracing the arts and craft heritage and designing their own egg, so we are hoping for some eggcellent masterpieces. The traders will proudly display their eggs on their stalls as well as being featured on the Greenwich Market and the public will vote for their favourite. Voting opens on the 4th April and closes on the 28th April. It is free to vote online and everyone who shares their votes using the hashtag #GMEggstravaganza will be entered into a competition for the chance to win a basket of Greenwich Market goodies.

The trader with the winning egg design will win a 7 second out of home advert which will be shown on a 6 sheet in the Royal Borough of Greenwich.

There are also lots of other cracking activities and events happening at Greenwich Market for Easter.
