As The White Lotus Season 3 takes over our screens and our travel wish lists, Thailand’s stunning filming locations in Koh Samui and Phuket are stepping into the spotlight. Who hasn’t dreamt of living out their own The White Lotus escape, minus the drama?
Hotels aside, The Luxe Nomad, Asia Pacific’s largest luxury vacation rental management company, has curated a selection of its most cinematic villas across these two paradise islands close to filming locations. Imagine private cliffside views, oceanfront infinity pools, home cinemas for binge-watching the latest episodes, and stylish interiors that look straight out of a movie set.
With a collection of 58 luxury villas near Koh Samui’s vibrant Bophut Beach and The Singing Bird Lounge in Chaweng, all captured in the hit show, to the tranquil shores of Natai Beach near Phuket, The Luxe Nomad makes it easy to step into the world of The White Lotus. A dedicated on-hand concierge team can arrange everything spanning private yacht charters, in-house chef and spa services, tailored excursions, and more for guests to walk in the footsteps of their favourite characters.
Stephanie Chai, Founder and Chief Nomad, shares: “Luxury travel is evolving beyond hotels — today’s discerning travelers are searching for the privacy, exclusivity, and bespoke experiences that only a private villa can offer.
After all, where else can you have breakfast at any time of the day, the pool all to yourself and the kids, and not worry about bumping into other guests? It's akin to checking into your own private hotel, but typically at a much more affordable rate.”
To celebrate the release of The White Lotus, The Luxe Nomad is offering a “Stay 7, Pay 6 Nights” promotion in April, and launches its first-ever Thailand Residents’, Singapore and Hong Kong Expats offer, providing an exclusive 20% off, complimentary airport pick up and meal on arrival until November 2025.

The Luxe Nomad’s Cinematic Villa Guide:
KOH SAMUI
This outlying island served as the main shooting location of The White Lotus, and is prime to be rediscovered. With its Sino-Thai heritage, Koh Samui has been drawing nomads since travellers started coming in the 1950s thanks to its beautiful beaches, authentic markets, tropical rainforest and cultural sites, such as Wat Phu Khao Thong and Dusit Dheva Cultural Centre, both featured in the show.
“Go big or go home” said Zion Lindsey, Belinda’s son on The White Lotus trailer. You can’t go bigger than the 24-bedroom, cliffside location of Panacea Retreat. It has everything you’d find in a luxury resort, including your own tennis court, private Muay Thai boxing ring, a home theatre and more. Plus, with gardens landscaped akin to The Four Seasons Koh Samui — you’ll truly feel like one of the privileged characters.
Lipa Noi is home to some of the most luxurious beachfront villas in Samui including the modern 6-bedroom Villa Akatsuki blending Thai and Japanese aesthetics. This escape boasts a striking three-tiered infinity pool, private spa, and a state-of-the-art fitness studio with panoramic views of the famous Five Islands. Not far away lies Dusit Dheva, a captivating cultural retreat that made it to the screen as the Buddhist Monastery Garden in The White Lotus.
The current season of The White Lotus focuses on wellness and spirituality, with characters seeking to reduce stress and improve overall well-being. Embrace the relaxing aspects of mindful living at The View Samui, a villa that epitomises all that and more. This four-bedroom villa has a 16.5m saltwater pool, fully-equipped gym, massage sala and even an indoor waterfall garden. There are plenty of spots for yoga and meditation sessions, set against the most picturesque ocean views. This villa also features living areas with indoor-outdoor projector screens, plus a large home cinema.
NATAI BEACH
Want to enjoy the best that Phuket has to offer minus the crowds? Make your way to Natai Beach. Located near Phuket, this quiet stretch of shore in Phang Nga has it all: sunset views, tranquil beaches and more. Plus, it’s only a 20-minute drive from the Anantara Mai Khao Phuket Villas, where The White Lotus was filmed.
Those looking for the same vibe as the Anantara Mai Khao Phuket, which was featured in The White Lotus as the incredibly tranquil wellness sanctuary, can explore Villa Saanti. This stylish, 6-bedroom boasts elements of local design with two showstopping infinity pools with Jacuzzi - evoking the feel of a Southern Thai village.
Sprawled across 9,500sqm of pristine beachfront, Villa Ananda is Natai Beach’s answer to The White Lotus’ ultra-luxurious retreats. This seven-bedroom villa offers amazing oceanfront views, a 25m pool, and vast outdoor spaces where families can lounge. A dedicated children’s wing with bunk beds ensures effortless family travel, while ensuite bedrooms boast garden views and a spa-like environment. With a private chef crafting gourmet meals, Villa Ananda delivers the kind of exclusivity, made-for-Hollywood luxury.
Channeling the grandeur of The White Lotus, this private estate is perfect for a multi-generational getaway or an unforgettable reunion with friends. With seven ultra-luxe beachfront villas ranging from four to seven bedrooms, there’s space for up to 14 guests to live out their own cinematic escape. Think infinity pools, private chefs, al fresco dining under the stars, and even an in-house spa. As photogenic as the show’s settings, these villas are made for the ultimate retreat.
