Hotel Indonesia Kempinski Jakarta, Indonesia

A rich selection of traditional Indonesian Ramadan specialities are complemented by the flavours of Türkiye at Hotel Indonesia Kempinski Jakarta this Ramadan. The hotel's iconic Bali Room will be converted into a grand Ramadan banqueting hall from 1-31 March, where three guest chefs from Çiragan Palace Kempinski Istanbul will join the hotel's own culinary team to prepare an Iftar feast that spans continents and cultures. Muslim guests staying at the hotel can prepare for the day's fast with Suhoor at Signatures Restaurant, where dishes designed to nourish are served in the early hours from 2:30 until 4:00. In China, guests at Kempinski Hotel Beijing Yansha Center can savour the warmth of Middle Eastern hospitality during an Arabic-themed dinner buffet at Signature's Restaurant, where more than 30 traditional Ramadan dishes are prepared by the hotel's culinary team from 18:00 to 21:30. Diners can expect traditional dishes like tender and aromatic lamb ouzi – a centrepiece of many Middle Eastern Iftar celebrations – chicken shawarma and grilled haloumi, as well as traditional Arabian sweets including walnut-pistachio baklava and succulent dates. The journey into Middle Eastern traditions continues with typical Ramadan beverages including the aromatic blend of dates, rose water and grape molasses known as jallab, and authentic Arabic coffee perfumed with a hint of cardamom. 

Kempinski Palace Engelberg, Switzerland

Ramadan is a time of year when Muslims reflect and make plans for the year ahead.
