For the first time, Guatemala will host the REMOTE Immersion, the annual travel trade show that brings together tourism professionals who are passionate about Latin America. From May 19 to 22, 2025, the historic city of Antigua, Guatemala will serve as the stunning backdrop for the event's highly anticipated eighth edition, organized by REMOTE Latin America. Held at unusual and unique destinations throughout Latin America and the Caribbean, REMOTE Immersion celebrates the region's unique culture, nature and tourism potential.

The REMOTE Immersion is a boutique travel show that unites independent luxury hotels, boats, local experts and DMCs specializing in Latin America with travel designers from around the world. More than just a business gathering, it's a space to create authentic and lasting connections, inspire innovative exchanges, stay ahead of market trends, and drive sustainable practices in tourism.

A Double Debut for REMOTE Immersion in 2025

This marks the second time REMOTE Immersion will be held in Central America (the first was in Costa Rica in 2018) and the first time the event will take place twice in the same year, with the second edition planned for October in Chapada dos Veadeiros, Brazil. Last year, REMOTE Latin America announced this strategic expansion to provide more opportunities for participants to discover Latin America's hidden gems, elevate the visibility of positive-impact tourism and create thriving business connections while maintaining the event's exclusive, intimate format.

According to Marcelo Pontes, Commercial Director of REMOTE Latin America, the event in Antigua is expected to host 85 exhibitors from 15 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean. They include exclusive lodges, boats and DMCs known for their tailor-made, hands-on approach to tourism. “Our careful curatorship of both exhibitors and travel designers is one of the hallmarks of REMOTE Immersion,” says Pontes. “We strive to bring together senior decision-making professionals who are aligned with our values of innovation, personalization and sustainability, showcasing the best in responsible luxury across Latin America.”

Renowned for its well-preserved historic architecture and vibrant cultural heritage, Antigua offers a tranquil yet dynamic setting for REMOTE Immersion 2025. Over three days, participants will explore the city's cobblestone streets, immerse themselves in its Mayan-rooted traditions and experience the warmth and hospitality of the Guatemalan people.

As in past editions, the event will feature pre-matched business meetings in the morning, immersive experiences in the afternoon and inspiring talks in the evening, as well as opportunities for socializing and networking.
