Aleenta Resorts & Spas

As White Lotus fever takes hold of some of the Thailand's best-known tourism hotspots it's a good time to embrace 'Dispersal Tourism' and venture to lesser-known places that offer low key luxury without the crowds. Places like Pranburi. Aleenta Hua Hin Pranburi Resort & Spa opened in 2006 as the first Aleenta property, based around founder Anchalika Kijkanakorn's childhood home. The 20-room retreat has recently undergone a glow up ensuring those who venture to this idyllic location a warm and luxurious, one MICHELIN Key welcome.

Renovated with love

Following an extensive renovation of the resort in 2024 Aleenta is proud to have been recognised with One Key in MICHELIN's new hotel ratings. This recognises the seamless luxury experience that thoughtfully blends comfort, culinary finesse and wellness. The updated suites showcase contemporary Thai-inspired design, upgraded amenities and views of the Gulf of Thailand. As part of the renovations the boutique resort has also introduced The Club at Aleenta. This extension of the levelled-up guest experience available at its sister properties in Phang Nga and Chiang Mai offers half-board accommodation as well as an exclusive Club lounge stocked with curated beverages and snacks, and complimentary spa services. An upgrade to The Club at Aleenta is available when booking any of the resort's guest rooms.

Pranburi – Thailand's best-kept secret

If Hua Hin is known as the Hamptons of Thailand then it's lesser-known neighbour could be considered its Montauk equivalent. It's a destination that offers a unique blend of adventure, relaxation and culture, as well as some more unexpected experiences, and Aleenta Hua Hin – Pranburi Resort & Spa provides the perfect base for exploring this emerging region.

  • Watch the sunset over Pranburi from Buddha Blessing Hill, just a short tuk-tuk ride from the resort.
  • Enjoy one of Thailand's best kitesurfing locations thanks to Pranburi's perfect mix of wind and calm, shallow waters.
  • Cycle through Pranburi along the 25km coastal cycling path.
  • Sip wine at Monsoon Valley Thai Wine & Vineyard.
  • Make the most of Aleenta's 25-acre organic garden – whether it's collecting eggs for your breakfast, or picking herbs to make a Herbal Compress for your spa treatment.

Lotus pond at Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park

A trip to Thailand might not be complete in 2025 without some kind of Lotus-based experience. Aleenta's take on the set-jetting phenomenon is to take it back to basics with an excursion to the incredible lotus flower spectacle at Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park just 25 minutes from the resort. This is Thailand's first marine national park - its name means 'The mountain with three hundred peaks' – where lotus flowers bloom in the freshwater marsh that covers over a third of the park, the largest wetland area in Thailand. The flowers are in bloom from early January to the end of March and include Nymphaea, Water Lily and Nelumbo Nucifera. Visitors can rent boats (with guide) to go out on the water with stops along the way including a hidden cave with 'kissing rocks' and a remote temple. The long tail boats are operated by the local community as part of a dedicated tourism project to preserve the culture and environment of the area, while supporting the long-term wellbeing of the local people. The best time to take a boat trip is either early morning (for sunrise over the mountains) or during late afternoon to see the sunset in the other direction. Once the sun goes down it's also one of the best places to see fireflies.

Rooms at Aleenta Hua Hin Pranburi Resort & Spa start from £207 per night, and £268 per night for a Club at Aleenta experience. The Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park excursion starts from £54pp.

Aleenta Hua Hin Pranburi Resort & Spa is a proud member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World's Considerate Collection of actively sustainable hotels.
