SeaLink South Australia is proud to announce the renewal of its naming rights sponsorship of the SeaLink Kangaroo Island Racing Carnival for a further three years. This long-standing 20-year partnership underscores SeaLink's commitment to supporting one of South Australia's most iconic regional events, and cornerstone of the island's tourism calendar.

The 2025 SeaLink Kangaroo Island Racing Carnival, taking place from 20–22 February 2025, will once again bring together thousands of attendees for three thrilling days of racing, entertainment, and community celebration while providing a significant economic boost to the island. With only General Admission tickets remaining, visitors wishing to attend this iconic event should book now before they're gone.

Tracy Croft, General Manager of SeaLink South Australia, said, “We are thrilled to continue our longstanding partnership with the Kangaroo Island Racing Carnival as naming sponsor for another three years. We've supported this event for the past 20 years and see it as a true celebration of KI's community spirit and a vital contributor to the local economy.

“At SeaLink, we take great pride in helping connect local communities and supporting events that bring people together to experience this beautiful destination,” she said

An expected 3,600 visitors from across Australia will travel to Kangaroo Island to attend the Carnival, with many staying on the island for up to 10 days. Their spending at accommodation providers, restaurants, retail outlets, and tourist attractions contributes hundreds of thousands of dollars to the community, making the Carnival a major economic driver for Kangaroo Island. The Carnival also shines a spotlight on the region's unique offerings, with local food vendors, Kangaroo Island Spirits, and Dudley Wines featuring prominently during the event.

Shane Pope, Chairperson of Kangaroo Island Racing, said, “The Kangaroo Island Racing Carnival is more than just a racing event—it's the island's biggest celebration of the year and a vital driver of economic activity. SeaLink's ongoing support enables us to continue growing the Carnival and welcoming visitors for an unforgettable experience of sport, community, and Kangaroo Island's natural beauty.”

As part of the sponsorship, SeaLink allocates up to 200 metres of deck space to help transport up to 90 horses for the Cup as well as drivers, horse trucks/floats strappers, trainers, and jockeys.

With SeaLink's two new and larger ferries, Wanggami and Ruwi, set to begin operations in mid-2025 offering more daily departures, travel to Kangaroo Island will be faster, smoother and easier than ever before.

SeaLink South Australia remains committed to fostering connected and thriving communities by supporting important community events like the Kangaroo Island Racing Carnival, including, Children's University, Kangaroo Island Community Education, Kangaroo Island/Victor Harbour Dolphin Watch, Ecosystem Resilience - Flinders University & Landscape Board Kangaroo Island, Foundation for National Parks & Wildlife, Kangaroo Island Marathon, Kangaroo Island Football League, Kangaroo Island Netball Association, South Adelaide Football Club, and the Youth Sailing Challenge.
