VisitEngland is delighted to announce that nominations are now open for the Travel Content category for the VisitEngland Awards for Excellence 2024 - 2025 to be held in June. The award is open to all travel writers, broadcasters, bloggers and vloggers who published a feature on England between 1 March 2024 and 28 February 2025 on a UK platform.

The VisitEngland Awards for Excellence celebrate the best of English tourism, promoting competition and high standards, helping to ensure England's place as a world-class destination. The Travel Content Award recognises the important contribution that media and influencers make in championing England's diverse tourism experiences and supporting the industry.

Eligible entries

We are looking for an article or blog of 500 words or more, or TV, radio, vlog or podcast content of more than two minutes, that celebrates breaks and travel experiences across England's cities, coast or countryside. Content can be an England series, a destination feature or a round-up.

Judges will be looking for content that brings to life the joy of a day trip or break in England year-round, whether shedding light on our hidden gems; unmissable events or responsible and inclusive tourism experiences.

• Please email a link to or colour scan of your / your colleague's travel piece to press@visitengland.org
• All entries must be the original work of the entrant and must have been published in a UK consumer outlet between 1 March 2024 and 28 February 2025. If a broadcast entry does not appear under the entrant's name, confirmation should be included from the programme producer that the entrant is entitled to claim the feature as their own work
• Please give your details in the body of the email (name, title, email address and telephone number), along with the publication's details (name, circulation and date of publication)
• We are accepting a maximum of one entry per writer / content creator

17.00; 3 March 2025

Shortlisted entries will be put forward to a judging panel in March. A Gold, Silver and Bronze winner will be announced as part of the VisitEngland Awards for Excellence ceremony in June 2025.   

VisitEngland Awards for Excellence

England's tourism awards champion the very best of the country's tourism industry, celebrating quality, innovation and best practice. The annual awards cycle begins with a series of local competitions, which feed up to the national VisitEngland Awards for Excellence. Businesses complete a single application and local winners are automatically put forward to the national judging panel.
