Visit County Durham at IMM 2025

Visit County Durham

Members of the Visit County Durham team are delighted to be attending IMM 2025 - one of the key events in the diary that gives them the opportunity to showcase Durham to the world.

Visit County Durham– Durham County Council's tourism service plays a key role in promoting the county to the national and international media and what better way to shout about all there is to offer than taking part in the leading global networking event for the travel industry.

Durham is an amazing county in North East England, less than three hours by train from London and less than two from Edinburgh. It is also perfectly located to welcome international visitors as both Newcastle and Teesside International airports are nearby as well as the Port of Tyne meaning a warm welcome awaits travellers from across the globe.

There is so much to see and do in the wonderful, historic county and the VCD team is looking forward to telling editors, journalists, and content creators all about it.

Visitors can explore the breathtaking scenery, discover award-winning attractions, and enjoy world-class exhibitions, festivals, and events.

From the majestic Durham Cathedral to the fascinating heritage attractions like Beamish, The Living Museum of the North and Auckland Palace there is plenty to talk about!

Durham is a great destination any time of the year but 2025 will offer something even more as the county prepares to co-host S&DR200 a 9-month international to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the birth of modern railway.
