Award-winning travel PR and specialist marketing firm, LOTUS has been appointed by Calvià 365, a region on the Balearic Island of Mallorca, with immediate effect. LOTUS will be responsible for the tourism board's strategic communications and PR in key European source markets for Calvià including the United Kingdom, Germany, and Spain.
LOTUS brings extensive experience in representing the Balearic Islands across national and European markets, with expertise in public relations and sustainable tourism. The team of experts understands the entre tourism ecosystem from boosting destination awareness and consumer demand to driving bookings and increasing visitor spend. LOTUS will launch a campaign to strengthen the Calvià 365 brand as an umbrella identity of the various tourist areas within the region by highlighting and promoting its premium offerings with a strong focus on the mid and low tourism seasons to attract more visitors from the UK, Germany, and mainland Spain.
Located on the southwest coast of Mallorca, Calvià comprises of Magaluf, Palmanova, Santa Ponça, Peguera, Portals Nous, El Toro, Costa de la Calma, Cala Vinyes, Cala Fornells and Ses Illetes. The region offers a perfect blend of natural beauty, cultural heritage, and premium and luxury tourism experiences. Calvià boasts upscale hotels, world-class golf courses, exclusive marinas, and exceptional dining led by renowned chefs.
Over the past decade, Calvià has invested significantly in tourism infrastructure, including the ongoing and comprehensive redevelopment of the seafront at Magaluf. This transformation reflects a collaborative effort between the administration and the hospitality industry, enhancing the destination's appeal. In October 2025, Calvià will host ABTA's Travel Convention, bringing the travel industry's attention to the region.
