
MIAMI (January 22, 2025) – Kimpton Angler's South Beach is pleased to announce the appointment of Anna Contreras to the position of General Manager.
In addition to leading operations property wide, Contreras brings experience, energy and know-how to the hotel along with a vision to further elevate the guest experience while driving service, operational efficiency and financial performance to new levels.
Another priority for Contreras will be launching the hotel's new street front meeting space, which is slated for completion in Spring 2025 and will add 2,400 square feet to the hotel's current 19,000 square feet of event space available for groups and events large and small.

Contreras' arrival at Kimpton Angler's follows the 2024 re-concepting of the hotel's indoor/outdoor lobby bar (Bar Havana), Washington Avenue restaurant outlet (El Patio), and rooftop pool deck which has been transformed into a sun-drenched oasis with a terrace-themed lounge, restaurant and bar, day cabana offerings, and expansive pool deck with 360-degree panoramic views of Washington Avenue and Miami Beach.
Contreras is committed to upholding Kimpton Angler's position as one of the leading hotels in the market while further setting it apart with its re-branded food and beverage offerings and a new slate of partners and programming. Experience and Background: Contreras started her career in hospitality in 2008 at the Fountainebleau Hotel as a Guest Service Agent as part of the hotel's opening team. This soon led to her promotion to Front Office Manager. She then joined Kimpton Hotels in 2013, where her steady rise through the ranks began as Assistant Director of Front Office for Kimpton's EPIC Hotel and a promotion to Director of Housekeeping a year later.
Contreras' high standards for excellence and efficiency soon led to promotion after promotion. In 2016, she was tapped as Assistant General Manager for Kimpton Surfcomber where her leadership helped earn the hotel an impressive 50% rise in their TripAdvisor score. In 2019, Contreras returned to Kimpton EPIC as Hotel Manager, where her oversight of the hotel's 411 guestrooms, 450 residences, and 28,000 square feet of meeting space led to across-the-board revenue increases.
Contreras was also hand-picked by Kimpton Hotels to assist in the opening and staff training of the Kimpton Las Mercedes in Dominican Republic and Kimpton Seafire Cayman Island, as well as serve as Interim General Manager at Kimpton Hotel Palomar South Beach, where she led a capital improvement program, and once again achieved both high guest and employee satisfaction scores.
