A life-sized sculpture of a Gen-X cultural icon is the latest art installation at Hamilton Princess & Beach Club.

The fictional 'Stormtrooper' soldier made famous in film maker George Lucas' Star Wars movie, appears to be standing guard in the left corner of the hotel lobby as you enter the entrance doors. The statuesque, bright white and crystallized piece, was designed by highly acclaimed artist Daniel Arsham, using minerals such as selenite, blue calcite, and hydrostone.

Arsham's collaboration with Star Wars debuted at his exhibitions at Perrotin Galleries in New York and Paris in 2023. The 'Stormtrooper' was a part of a series of the Star Wars pop culture icons, including C-3PO, and R2-D2.

Hamilton Princess' art collection houses several other Arsham works of art, including Bronze Eroded Astronaut mounted in June in the hotel's front garden, and Large Wrapped Animal (Blue), placed in the hotel's Retail Arcade in 2023.
