SINGAPORE, 11 December 2024 – Singapore's skyline welcomes a new design icon with Dusk & The Mirabilis Bar @ Mount Faber Peak, the recipient of the Platinum Winner award in the Best in Lounges & Bars category at the French Design Awards 2024. This accolade places the establishment among an elite circle of just five global winners, making the only bar in Southeast Asia to achieve this distinction. The recognition underscores Singapore's growing influence on the international hospitality and design stage, solidifying Mount Faber Peak as a unique hilltop destination for both locals and global travellers.

Conducted by International Awards Associate (IAA), the French Design Awards is a global showcase that celebrates the most innovative and exceptional designs across various sectors. Entries undergo a blind judging process, evaluated on creativity, design, innovation, functionality, and impact, with Platinum Winners scoring between 85 and 100 points.

Elevating Hilltop Dining with Iconic Design

The transformation of Dusk & The Mirabilis Bar @ Mount Faber Peak reflects Mount Faber Leisure Group's vision to redefine hilltop dining by seamlessly blending panoramic sea and city views with eclectic design, creating a space that honours Mount Faber's natural beauty and modern sophistication. Originally launched in 2017, Dusk quickly became known as one of Singapore's top alfresco restaurants offering the best sunset views. After a nine-month refurbishment, it reopened in July 2024 with an updated menu and the addition of The Mirabilis Bar.

A Floral Spectacle Inspired by Nature

At the heart of The Mirabilis Bar lies the design's muse—the Mirabilis Jalapa, also known as the “Four O'clock Flower.” This species, renowned for its fragrant blooms that unfurl in the late afternoon and stay open through the night, perfectly mirrors the bar's opening hours and essence.

Mount Faber Leisure Group partnered with Singapore-based interior design firm ORB Associates to create two towering five-meter floral sculptures at the outdoor bar. Each flower is adorned with luminescent vines that sway gently in the wind, creating a mesmerising display. When illuminated, this installation transforms the space into a stunning visual spectacle, offering an Instagram-worthy moment with sweeping views of southern Singapore.

Seamless Flow, Elevated Experience

Beyond aesthetics, the redesign focuses on guest experience and functionality. Integrated canopy walkways connect key areas of the venue, allowing guests to transition effortlessly between different spaces—whether it is the sheltered alfresco dining area, the semi-enclosed bar, or the iconic outdoor terrace. Each area offers a distinct atmosphere, catering to varying guest moods, from intimate gatherings to lively social events.
