The Les 3 Vallées Association launched its own online travel agency – Les 3 Vallées Travel - in October 2022 to provide consumers in the UK and globally a simple and direct way to book holidays to the world's largest interconnected ski area. A gateway to the whole Les 3 Vallées ski system, Les 3 Vallées Travel enables guests to quickly and easily make reservations at all seven resorts: Courchevel, Méribel, Brides-les-Bains, Saint Martin de Belleville, Les Menuires, Val Thorens and Orelle. Consumers can select packages including accommodation, lift passes, ski hire along with ski lessons.
As each resort has its own style and ambiance, holiday makers can search online per resort or choose a mix, with different offers then available. Flexibility is integral to this . Trips to Les 3 Vallées can be booked Saturday to Saturday – as is traditional - but also Sunday to Sunday along with shorter or longer stays, too.
Since the launch, the number of bookings has kept increasing with Les 3 Vallées Travel popular with international clients as follows:
• During the first year of operation (winter 2022-23), 43% of bookings were made by French consumers and 57% by international visitors.
• The following season (winter 2023-34), reservations made by international clients increased to 69% of the total number of bookings.
The site receives most traffic from the UK, followed by Belgium, United States, Netherlands, Spain, Germany and Portugal.
Olivier Desaulty, director of the Les 3 Vallées Association says , “Les 3 Vallées Travel is successful thanks to the intuitive design of our website. Accommodation is clearly visible on a map, navigation is easy and resort comparisons simple, so you can review different options and prices based on when and where you want to go. People also like the fact that they can get advice by email, WhatsApp or phone from a team of 3 Vallées specialists who have in-depth knowledge about the area.”
A recent customer survey carried out by Les 3 Vallées Travel showed that 47% of non-French customers - who booked via the site - had actually never skied in Les 3 Vallées before.
Many had compared options on Bookings.com and Air B&B but decided to book with Les 3 Vallées Travel as three main criteria were fulfilled: guaranteed snow, ski-in, ski-out properties and value for money.
