Northstar Travel Group

Rutherford, NJ – Travel Weekly's CruiseWorld gathered more than 1,400 travel industry professionals for three days of programming, networking, and learning in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, November 6-8, 2024, at the Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center. Celebrating its fifteenth year, the event brought together 124 speakers, including top executives and CEOs from the industry's leading brands and travel advisors who fill their ships, destinations, tours, and hotels.

"CruiseWorld is a game-changer for travel advisors at all experience levels, offering unparalleled access to industry leaders and the latest product offerings," said Mary Pat Sullivan, Executive Vice President, Marketing and Partnerships, Northstar Travel Group. "From general sessions to peer-led workshops to the Exhibitor Showcase, this event is designed to inspire and equip travel professionals to succeed in a rapidly evolving market."

The advisors participating in CruiseWorld were diverse in their years in business, booking levels, and business models, which is why the audience is a draw for suppliers. “CruiseWorld is the perfect opportunity to form all sorts of relationship with the advisor community, the existing ones and also new ones,” said Chris Prelog, President, Windstar Cruises. “And what it really allows you to do is spend one-on-one time with the advisors in terms of what's new at the company, what's new in the industry, and what new tools do we have and how can we make life easier to do business with Windstar Cruises. And I think that's a perfect opportunity for us.”

CruiseWorld's keynote speakers included Josh Weinstein, President, CEO and Chief Climate Officer, Carnival Corporation & plc, Jason Liberty, President and CEO, Royal Caribbean Group and Harry Sommer, President and CEO, Norwegian Cruise Lines Holdings. In addition, many of the presidents representing the individual cruise brands, tour companies and destinations took the stage to share the latest news and exciting developments happening around the travel industry.

“Hearing directly from cruise line executives gives us invaluable insight into upcoming developments and trends," said Kerry Tice, CEO & Luxury Travel Advisor with Enticing Vacations, an affiliate of Montecito Village Travel. "It equips us with the knowledge we need to confidently guide our clients, showing them we're connected to the industry's top decision-makers and fully prepared to help them plan exceptional travel experiences.”

CruiseWorld features all facets of the industry. Breakout sessions and the Exhibitor Showcase featured supplier partners including air; car rental; consortia and host agencies; ocean and river cruise; destinations; hotels and resorts; insurance; professional services; and tour operators.
