MAURO COLAGRECO, CHEF PATRON OF THE “ WORLD' S BEST RESTAURANT ” OPENS CÔTE AT CAPELLA BANGKOK

With the opening of Capella Bangkok comes the highly- anticipated Côte by Mauro Colagreco. The three-Michelin-starred chef behind the 2019 World's Best Restaurant, Mirazur, Chef Mauro is set to elevate the region's dining scene to greater heights with his first Southeast Asian outpost. Bringing the 'Riviera to the River', Côte invites guests to celebrate the flavours of the French and Italian Riviera by the banks of the Chao Phraya.

Côte's refine menu embraces seasons, colours, textures and flavours, as it takes its inspiration from two of the world's desired destinations. Produce is sourced day by day, where guests can enjoy a personal dining narrative, highlighted in a nightly nine- course 'Carte Blanche' menu.

“When I arrived in Bangkok I fell in love. It is as simple as that. The passion for food and the culture and spirit – from the innate understanding of nature and the seasons to the history and flow of the river make this the perfect place to open my first Southeast Asian outpost. Drawing inspiration from Bangkok and the Riviera, Côte will create a magical new dining destination, of that I am sure,” said Chef Mauro.

All dishes at Côte will be uniquely designed for the restaurant while adopting the philosophy of Mirazur – evidenced by the monkfish 'a la cacciatora' where the dish marries the sea and land in a recipe that typically uses chicken.

Thai ingredients and techniques are infused into a menu featuring ginger, lemongrass, kaffir lime and pomelo, with a pestle and mortar central to creating sauces – a key component in French Riviera and Italian Liguria cuisine. The collaboration will see Chef Mauro work closely with Capella Bangkok's culinary team and Chef Davide Garavaglia, the former Chef de Cuisine of Mirazur and the recipient of the MICHELIN Thailand Young Chef Award 2023.

Côte is located on the riverbank in Bangkok's historic Charoenkrung district, an alluring urban enclave that has welcomed new settlers – including many intrepid French and Italian travellers – to Thailand for centuries. Today, the neighbourhood remains a rich melting pot of race, religion, culture and cuisine. The restaurant has received one MICHELIN-starred recognition from MICHELIN Guide Thailand for three consecutive years.

Capella Bangkok features 101 stunning suites and the city's first riverfront villas. Its design deeply honours the heritage of Bangkok's first commercial outpost and guests are guided through its hidden corridors and avenues to an engaging and unforgettable experience.

Côte by Mauro Colagreco is located on the second floor of Capella Bangkok, and is open for lunch from 12pm to 2pm and dinner from 6pm to 10pm (closed on Mondays and Tuesdays)
