Ubud – Mandapa, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, is proud to announce the promotion of Desy Setiawati to the position of Hotel Manager. With over 14 years of experience in the luxury hospitality industry, Desy will now lead the day-to-day operations of the ultra-luxury resort in Ubud, Bali, ensuring an elevated guest experience and upholding the exceptional service standards for which Mandapa is renowned.
Desy's journey with Mandapa began in 2022 when she was appointed Director of Sales and Marketing. Through her leadership, the resort successfully navigated the post-pandemic period, implementing innovative strategies that revitalized the business and enhanced Mandapa's standing in the ultra-luxury segment. In her new role as Hotel Manager, Desy will continue to drive operational excellence, focusing on personalized guest services, wellness programming, and the resort's unique Balinese cultural offerings.

Prior to joining Mandapa, Desy held senior leadership roles at several prestigious luxury hotels. She served as Director of Sales at Bvlgari Resorts Bali, where she was recognized for her outstanding achievements in catering revenue and business growth. Desy also played a key role in the successful pre-opening of The St. Regis Bali Resort in 2008, contributing to its establishment as one of Bali's top luxury resorts. Her wealth of experience across various luxury properties has equipped her with a deep understanding of the industry, allowing her to excel in both sales and operational management.
A graduate of the Hotel Tourism Institute (STP Bali), Desy is Indonesian-Balinese and fluent in English. Outside of her professional commitments, she enjoys singing, traveling to unique destinations, and spending quality time with her family.
