Cabinet Rooms in Winchester has been named in the UK's top ten most groundbreaking coffee shops by BRITA Professional in their Grounds of Innovation Awards. This exclusive accolade is awarded by a panel of expert judges and highlights Cabinet Rooms' commitment to quality, creativity, and community, setting it apart in the national coffee scene. Cabinet Rooms is the only coffee venue in Hampshire to receive this recognition, with others from Bristol, London, Liverpool, and beyond.

Since opening in 2017, Cabinet Rooms has become more than just a café-bar. It is a vibrant cultural hub where community and creativity flourish. Offering a warm and inviting space, it regularly hosts a wide range of activities such as a Menopause Café, a popular Book Group, and a Secret Underground Film Society. Conveniently located just five minutes from the train station and the High Street, Cabinet Rooms has become a first stop for many visitors discovering the rich culture of Winchester.

At the heart of Cabinet Rooms is an exceptional coffee experience. The café proudly serves speciality coffee from the award-winning Extract Coffee Roasters. They also rotate a selection of guest roasts, which are attracting coffee connoisseurs from further afield looking to try something new. Cabinet Rooms' coffee offering continues into the evening, making it a unique destination for both daytime café-goers and evening socialisers alike. 

To celebrate their recent recognition, Cabinet Rooms are hosting a series of events this October, coinciding with UK Coffee Week (14-20 October). This national celebration supports Project Waterfall, a charity that provides clean water to coffee-growing communities worldwide. On Thursday 17th October, coffee lovers can enjoy a special tasting event or "cupping" – the first public showcase of Extract Coffee Roasters' brand new single-origin range. There will also be a chance to try Discarded Spirits Co's sweet cascara vermouth. This forward-thinking brand makes delicious vermouth with the fruit of the coffee berry, a waste product of the coffee industry. This event is a must-attend for Hampshire's coffee aficionados. 

Cabinet Rooms recently participated in Espresso Martini Fest, featuring its bartender's creative spins on the classic cocktail. As a result, a new and decadent praline martini can be found on their cocktail menu which offers something truly unique for Hampshire's coffee cocktail enthusiasts.
