September 2024…/ With just under a month to go until this year's Synergy – The Retreat Show, taking place at beautiful REVĪVŌ Wellness Resort in Bali from 1st – 4th October 2024, the lineup of expert speakers has officially been announced. Now in its third year, Synergy is known for its insightful talks, seminars, and workshops led by some of the biggest names in the wellness travel industry. This year will be no different, with experts spanning the whole retreats and wellness sphere.

Laura Hof

Known as 'The Ice Woman', Laura Hof is best known for her work as a Wim Hof Method Instructor – as the daughter of Wim Hof himself, she is perfectly placed to advise on his maverick methods of wellness and the benefits of cold water and ice baths. In addition, Laura is a Conscious Entrepreneur, Holistic Therapist, Nutritionist, and Energy Master.

Dr Madan Kataria

Founder of the Laughter Yoga Clubs movement, Dr Madan Kataria is known as the 'Guru of Giggling', and has grown his movement from a five-person gathering in a Mumbai park into a global phenomenon, and a concept that has taken the world by storm, bringing smiles to thousands of dedicated Laughing Yoga clubs the world over. Laughter Yoga has been proven to have lasting positive effects, and as such Dr. Kataria is now a sought-after consultant and expert on all things holistic health, stress management, and, of course, laughter.

Per van Spall

Master Per van Spall credits his knowledge of traditional Qigong to his grandmother, who ensured his western upbringing contained a touch of eastern inspired spiritualism. Having pursued a corporate career, Per discovered he had inherited what he believed to be a psychic ability from his grandmother, which led him to pursue certification as a Master in the Art of Qigong Healing. Now, he excels in teaching people how to tap into their own spiritualism, whatever their background, and as a Bali local, he collaborates with the local Balinese spiritual community to offer guidance and support during his retreats.

Cat Kabira

Cat has a personal connection to this year's host country of Bali, having been a founding teacher of The Yoga Barn in Ubud, Bali, where she has taught thousands of people and trained hundreds of yoga teachers since 2007. Since then, Cat has founded the Kabira Energy School (2012), where she has taught many students how to harness their energy. An expert in a huge variety of disciplines, Cat is also a certified eating disorder therapist and specialises in working with trauma, and empowering those who are highly sensitive. Her ethos is based on thriving throughout life, and helping people to discover their own unique light, delight, and power, through her unique combination of ancient yoga and contemporary psychological insights and theory.

Synergy is the only trade show dedicated to the retreat industry and wellness travel, uniting everyone from luxury properties and industry experts to practitioners including yoga instructors and fitness coaches – as well as luxury travel designers looking for the next experiential wellness escape.

With each show informed by its destination, this year's, set on the magical island of Bali, will spark ideas centred around responsible wellbeing and slow travel, while encouraging attendees to build long-lasting relationships that will nourish businesses.
