As the first snows blanket the French Alps each year, mountain towns prepare to welcome winter visitors. This year, leading French accommodation provider Ski France is enhancing the alpine experience by adding three new premium Contactless Catered Chalets to its impressive portfolio.
Here's a sneak preview: stay in a beautiful chalet with a food option that eliminates meal planning and shopping. It's easy, guests enjoy independence, dining when and how they like, without the hassle of meal prep and shopping. Upon arrival, guests will find a fully stocked larder for breakfast, tea and snacks, with freshly prepared meals delivered throughout the day, six days a week. There will be a mid-week light clean with towel changes, and hosts are available by phone to assist with ski hire, restaurant bookings or any queries.
Introduced as a new concept in 2021, Ski France's contactless catering has been a hit, with bookings up 25% over the last six months compared to the same period last year. Return bookings have also increased by 17% year-on-year, reflecting its growing popularity.
Ski France now offers a range of contactless catered chalets across the French Alps in popular resorts such as Val d'Isère, Méribel, La Tania, and Alpe d'Huez. These chalets are divided into two categories – Classic and Premium, ranging from three to five stars – and include quality food and drink, afternoon tea, snacks, delicious dinners, a selection of drinks with unlimited wine and a generous supply of beer. All delivered with seamless contactless service.
Guests can choose between catering and self-catering when booking their chalet. Often, guests reserve the chalet first and decide on the service later, frequently opting for contactless catering due to its outstanding value and convenience. This option is ideal for those seeking the comfort and space of a high-quality chalet while enjoying the ease of having quality meals delivered to their fridge and receiving support from a dedicated resort team.
Staying in a contactless-catered chalet is also excellent value, with a week's stay ranging from £732 per person in a Classic Chalet to £1,017 in a Premium Chalet.
Read on to find out more about the three new chalets below.
Guests can enjoy home-cooked meals made with locally sourced, seasonal ingredients, delivered fresh each day. With six nights of dinners and one night off to explore local gastronomy, all meals are pre-prepared by local chefs, allowing guests to enjoy gourmet dining at their leisure, truly making it a home away from home. A well-stocked kitchen means everything is provided—from hearty breakfasts to après-ski treats—with the option to personalise the experience further.
Premium or Classic
Ski France offers a choice between a Classic or Premium chalet experience. Opting for the Premium experience includes a Champagne reception. While both options offer the same three-course pre-prepared dinner with a daily menu and cooking instructions, Premium guests enjoy a more elevated breakfast with a daily bakery delivery, smoked salmon, local cheeses and after-dinner chocolates. Instead of the house wines provided in the Classic experience, Premium guests can choose from a selection of wines stocked in their chalet for the week. Ski France also adds beers to all chalets, perfect for unwinding after a long day on the slopes.
Here are the three new Premium chalets offered by Ski France:
