The leading global event connecting the travel industry and the media returns to London 17-18 February, over a packed two days at London's QEII Centre.
TravMedia has today launched IMM UK, with the travel industry's leading media event returning to its home at London's QEII Centre from 17-18 February 2025 for what organisers predict will be another sell-out show.
Once again the first morning of IMM is devoted to The TravMedia Summit, this year branded 'The Great Media Reset: Navigating the New Communications Age'. The conference will consider the global media sector's likely response to the threat posed by the tech giants and AI and will drill down into how this directly impacts travel journalism and travel PR.
Last year's IMM drew a record-breaking attendance of over 550 PR professionals, journalists, and influencers. Collectively the show's attendees held over 10,000 meetings, the vast majority pre-scheduled through IMM's powerful Meetings Manager platform.
Media titles whose desk and freelance writers attended included The Times, The Telegraph, The Sun, The i, Daily Mail, Independent, BBC, CNN Travel, Wanderlust, National Geographic Traveller, Condé Nast Traveller, JRNY, France Magazine, Cruise Adviser, loveEXPLORING, TTG, OutThere, Good Housekeeping, and Bella.
Regional delegations included USA (34 stands) France (30), Europe (28), Canada (12), UK (11), Australia (7), and the Caribbean (4). Industry sectors included Tour Operators/Travel Providers (13 stands), Cruise Lines (2), and Hotel Groups (9).
Now in its 13th year, IMM is established as the must-attend annual event for travel and tourism brands to meet the media, make new connections and nurture established relationships. TravMedia has announced that the first 50 exhibitor bookings will be available at special earlybird prices, with savings of up to £630 on offer (based on an existing TravMedia customer taking one stand with two delegates).
Exhibitors can book today at the show's site (www.travmedia.com/immuk).
Louise Napier, TravMedia UK's Managing Director, said: “We're eagerly awaiting what we anticipate will be another sell-out IMM. Our international exhibitor delegations were delighted with last year's show, and we recorded more media check-ins than ever. We hope to break this record again.
“This year's Summit looks at how the media needs to tackle the major threat of hostile internet brands and AI. Our topics and the top speakers involved will deliver content squarely targeted at desk editors, freelance writers, and PR professionals. It's going to create an opportunity for the sector to learn together - and of course network between sessions!”
IMM 2025 aims to provide exhibitors with an exponential return on investment from two highly productive days of activity. Timed, pre-scheduled 15-minute meetings between exhibitors and journalists remain the cornerstone of the event, in conjunction with breakfasts, sponsored IMM lunches, and socialising at the IMM evening drinks party.
