New Openings

In Val Claret the iconic 'Le Curling Hotel' has undergone quite the transformation and will on the first day of the season (23/11/2024) open its door as the cosy 'Chalet Hôtel Quartz'. Located in the heart of Val Claret, with easy access to amenities and of course the slopes, the residence will be home to 18 brand new luxurious suites-apartments and offer a range of hotel services. Rates start at €255 per night per apartment accommodating 4 people.

The famous Michelin starred 'URSUS' restaurant in Tignes Val Claret and the firm mountain favourite 'The Panoramic' on top of the Perce-Neige funicular, is getting a naughty little sister high up on the slopes in Tignes. 'Le Palet' will be the lively place to stop for a drink and some tasty food in this new cool canteen accessed from the Tichot lift. In the afternoon the atmosphere livens up even more as live music will be entertaining the crowds.

New Infrastructure

Tignes continues to drive its infrastructure forward with further investments in its ski lift network. From December 2024, Le Marais will be transporting 2,020 skiers and boarders to the summit of Aiguille Percée with its new 6-seater chairlift. The lift will not only be quieter and faster but more importantly more energy efficient.

For the beginners, good news is in store – Two new conveyor belts will replace the old Lavachet ski lift and provide easy access to the novice ski area. Even better news is that the new lift is free of charge to all.

Initiatives

Earlier this year Tignes were selected for the hosting duties of the World Para-Alpine Ski Championships in 2027, which is welcomed with pride and is an acknowledgement for Tignes' long focus on disability sport. Tignes has long been a loyal partner of the French Para-sport Federation providing para-athletes with the optimum training conditions. By initiating the H+ campaign, para-skiing is not just for elite athletes, the initiative includes introduction packages for adaptive Snowsports. One of the best places to start is with the Oxygène Ski & Snowboard School; for over 20 years they have been offering adaptive lessons for people with reduced mobility, impaired vision and those hard of hearing.
