Gold Coast, Tuesday 27 August 2024 – Palm Court, located in the heart of The Langham, Gold Coast, is now offering lunch, in addition to the renowned The Langham Afternoon Tea.

For the first time, Palm Court will be serving lunch daily from 11.30am to 2.30pm, with guests experiencing the very best of Australian produce curated by recently appointed culinary heavyweight, Head Chef Mark Marshall.

Diners can indulge in a menu that is light, delicious and high end, located in Palm Court's luxe coastal setting that offers stunning views of the lagoon pool.

“We are all about refined, eloquent dining, keeping it simple and letting the ingredients talk for themselves. There will also be a little taste of wood fire too,” Chef Marshall said.

To start, guests can choose between meat, vegetarian or seafood dishes such as Wagyu steak tartare with macadamia, egg yolk and potato crisps, crispy zucchini blossoms with chevre, honey and thyme or a crudo of Hiramasa Kingfish with passionfruit, jalapeno and finger lime.

For mains, Mark and his team of culinary experts will serve whole lobster with wood-fired, garlic herb butter and charred lemon as well as the immensely popular Langham club sandwich with smoked chicken, double-smoked bacon, egg, lettuce, tomato, aioli. If a steak is more appealing, the Wagyu rump cap has a marble score of 9+ and is served with woodfired vegetables, pistachio and speck.

“Additionally, the hotel is offering a special spring introductory offer of our famous The Langham Afternoon Tea for $85 on weekdays and $95 on weekends,” Chef Marshall said.
“For those wanting a little extra, diners have the choice to add Whispering Angel Rose for $49 for two hours, free flow or crowd favourite Taittinger for $35 per glass.”

In a British nod to its namesake at The Langham, London where traditional English afternoon tea was served over 150 years ago, Palm Court pays tribute to its heritage with a bespoke offering of the traditional Afternoon Tea with a menu crafted by our culinary experts.
