Texas is the 5th largest producer of wine in the US and the destination of Grapevine is thrilled to announce its 38th Annual GrapeFest® - A Texas Wine Experience presented by Bank of the West, taking place from September 12th, 13th, 14th and 15th, 2024, in the heart of Grapevine's Historic Main Street. This annual four-day festival, the largest wine festival in the Southwest, celebrates the rich history of Texas winemaking and offers a great range of activities for all ages.
Since its inception in 1986, GrapeFest® has grown from a small community event, to one of the premier wine festivals in the US.
Event Dates and Activities
GrapeFest® opens its gates on Thursday, September 12th, and runs through Sunday, September 15th. Visitors can look forward to a variety of activities, including:
- Wine Tasting Events: Sample award-winning Texas wines, as well as wines from Barossa, Australia and Krems, Austria in the International Wine Experience.
- People's Choice Wine Tasting Classic: The largest consumer-judged wine competition in the nation.
- GrapeStomp: Compete to see who can produce the most juice by stomping grapes.
- Champagne Cork Shoot-Off: Try your shooting skills with the cork from a champagne bottle.
- Champagne Terrace: Sip sparkling wines while watching the world go by.
- Master Classes: Take part in Master Classes from Barossa, Australian winemakers and wine and food pairing courses.
- Urban Wine Trail: Step inside one of Grapevine's 8 winery tasting rooms for a tasting while you peruse festival grounds.
- Grapevine Marketplace and Festival Shops: Discover unique vendors offering everything from gourmet foods to handcrafted jewellery to take home.
- Historic Main Street boutiques and bistros: They will all be open for business along the festival grounds.

GrapeFest® features an impressive lineup of live music acts across multiple stages. Past performers have included chart-topping artists and local favourites, providing a diverse range of genres from country and rock to blues and jazz. This year's headliners will be announced soon.

Grapevine is conveniently located in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, just minutes from the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport. Visitors can easily reach the festival by car, and ample parking is available with shuttle services to the festival grounds.
