Tickets are available to purchase now on a daily service, starting Thursday 1 August, for Hull, Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester and Manchester Airport.
Services will be available at Hull Paragon Interchange, allowing passengers to travel to and from the city centre easily and connecting Hull to the wider FlixBus network.
FlixBus will be the first travel service to offer a direct connection between Hull and Liverpool, without needing to change. The route will include Liverpool's One Bus Station and Wavertree Shopping Centre.
Similarly, the Hull route will take directly to and from Manchester Airport, for as little as £7.99. Arriving in three hours 25 minutes, compared to three hours through three changes by train.
Managing Director of FlixBus UK Andreas Schorling, said: “Adding the city of Hull on to our ever-growing map of destinations in the UK is a milestone on our journey to become the biggest coach network in the country.
“We are proud to be connecting the North of England through our convenient and comfortable journey options, bringing affordable, sustainable routes to cities which are underserved by other transport operators.”
The company – known for its bright green coaches - has seen rapid growth since its launch in the UK three years ago, with 70 destinations now on its nationwide network.
Councillor Mark Ieronimo, cabinet portfolio holder for transportation, roads and highways at Hull City Council, commented: “The council is delighted to welcome FlixBus to Hull and is excited by the increased choice that the company will bring to our city for travel across the North of England for our residents.
“The connection to Manchester Airport will be particularly beneficial, as we know that many people in the city use the airport for international travel and having a direct service offer will provide real convenience.”
To celebrate the launch, FlixBus is offering an exclusive 20% off rides for residents in Hull. Visit bit.ly/FlixBusHull for details.
