Alaskan Expedition Cruise: Inside Passage, bears and Aleutian Islands, 19 days from £9,516 per person.
This 19-day itinerary goes beyond Alaska's classic highlights sailing to the tip of the Bering Sea. With scientists on board, your journey is made extra special as you learn about their research. Exploring by expedition cruise allows access to more remote inlets, islands and coastal communities and while many of the larger cruise liners pass through the Inside Passage at night, our smaller vessel allows you to navigate some of the narrower inlets, making a daylight exploration a magnificent spectacle for watching whales and orcas. This cruise sails from Vancouver up through the fjord-lined Inside Passage, across the Gulf of Alaska and around the Aleutian Isles to Nome on the Bering Strait. Spot glaciers in Icy Bay and brown bears in Kodiak and Katmai. On the remote islands of St Paul and St Matthew, there are superb opportunities for bird watching with puffins, kittiwakes and cormorants among the more than 300 species found there.
