Renowned for its exceptional designer hotels and award-winning dining destinations, QT Hotels & Resorts proudly announces its accolades in the 2024 Restaurant Awards by Wine Spectator, the world's leading authority on wine. QT celebrates seven of only 25 awards announced in Australia, once again achieving recognition in the 'Best of Award of Excellence' and 'Award of Excellence' award categories.
Signature restaurants Gowings at QT Sydney and Santini Bar & Grill at QT Perth, have been awarded Wine Spectator's 2024 'Best of Award of Excellence'. The honour acknowledges wine lists which display excellent breadth across multiple winegrowing regions and/or significant vertical depth of top producers, along with superior presentation. It recognises these restaurants are destinations for serious wine lovers, showing a deep commitment to wine, both in the cellar and through their service teams.
Parlour at QT Sydney, Jana Restaurant and Bar at QT Newcastle, Pascale & Grill at QT Melbourne, Yamagen at QT Gold Coast and Capitol Bar & Grill at QT Canberra, the only winner in the ACT, have all received an 'Award of Excellence'. This award is reserved for those who offer thoughtfully chosen wine lists, containing both quality and diverse selections that are compatible with the menu's style and pricing.
EVT Hotels & Resorts Group General Manager, Callum Kennedy says, “QT continues its commitment to excellence, and to position ourselves and our people as leaders in hospitality. Our signature restaurants and bars are the epitome of our brand ethos, fusing design, ambience, and exceptional guest experiences.”
Launched in 1981, the Restaurant Awards are assigned on three levels: Award of Excellence, Best of Award and Grand Award, with 2,150; 1,531; and 96 global winners this year in each respective category. This year's awards program recognises 3,700 dining destinations from more than 75 countries internationally. All winners of the 2024 Restaurant Awards have been published at www.winespectator.com.
