Newmarket Holidays has launched a new escorted tour package exploring the Baltic capitals Tallinn, Riga and Vilnius. The eight-day holiday soaks up the rich heritage of these ancient cities, with guided tours that reveal the incredible stories behind some of the region's most fascinating sights and attractions.

Starting in Tallinn, the capital of Estonia, guests are led through the Hanseatic old town, a thriving commercial hub during the Medieval period, and visit the extravagant Alexander Nevski Cathedral and the grand Kadriorg Palace. The tour then heads to Tartu, the country's oldest city, to see why it was voted one of Europe's capitals of culture in 2024.

Continuing to Latvia, guests enjoy the incredible alpine beauty of Gauja National Park, with possible sightings of native elk, European bison, and brown bears, before lunch at Sigulda, where there's a 13th-century castle that was once home to warrior monks. In Riga, the group takes a walking tour of the old town to enjoy the Romanesque cathedral, 15th-century castle and Swedish Gate, before exploring some of the city's more modern attractions and incredible art nouveau architecture.

En route to Vilnius, guests are guided around the exquisite Rundale Palace, an 18th-century baroque treasure, and taken to the Hill of Crosses, a sacred Lithuanian pilgrimage site, before reaching their last stop in the country's elegant capital, with a final day tour discovering the city's rich religious past. 

Prices start from £1,199 per person, including a £100 saving for bookings made before 31 May 2024, and include seven-nights bed and breakfast, tours, transfers, attractions, guides and return flights from regional airports across the UK, with a choice of 12 departures starting in April 2025.
