Home to Viscount and Viscountess Hinchingbrooke, Mapperton House has been lovingly preserved and meticulously maintained, offering guests a rare glimpse into the past, whilst offering this exclusive opportunity to experience the charm and sophistication of a bygone era.

In an effort to continue to share the magic of Mapperton House with a wider audience, the house is now available for private hire, for certain weeks of the year, offering guests the unique opportunity to host events and celebrations in a truly unforgettable setting. Whether it's a family gathering, wedding, corporate retreat, or special occasion, Mapperton House provides the perfect backdrop for creating memories that will last a lifetime.

Guests will have exclusive access of the house, with its exquisite period furnishings, elegant drawing rooms, grand dining halls, nine bedrooms (many with newly appointed bathrooms), it offers ample space for rest and relaxation. In addition to the main house, the estate also boasts immaculate gardens, a natural swimming pool and additional luxurious accommodation across the estate.

The family first started hosting adhoc 5 night 'Grand Historic Tours' of Mapperton House last year, inspired by the Grand Tours of the 18th century when aristocrats travelled across Europe to visit the great classical sites. The tours included staying at Mapperton House, black tie dining with the Viscount and Viscountess Hinchingbrooke; experiencing a range of activities on one of England's great country estates, whilst visiting other magnificent stately homes in the area. Guests enjoyed the dramatic landscape and culinary delights of the Jurassic Coast, fossil hunting and sampling the region's delightful wines. Due to the success of these tours, the concept to roll this out further, and open the house up for exclusive 'private-hire' stays, was born.

From intimate gatherings to lavish affairs, the team at Mapperton House will work closely with guests to create bespoke experiences tailored to their individual needs and preferences. Whether it's a gourmet dinner prepared by a local private chef with butler service, a guided tour of the gardens, falconry or a traditional English tea party on the lawn, rewilding nature tours on the estate or simulated shooting, every detail can be meticulously planned and executed to ensure a truly unforgettable experience.
