AUCKLAND (February 14, 2024) – Park Hyatt Auckland and Onemata Restaurant invite you to experience an evening of celebration as we toast to half a century of dedication from Te Mata Estate, one of New Zealand's most renowned wine estates. Join us for an evening commemorating 50 years of ownership on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 | 6.00pm.
Created in 1896 and operated since 1974 by the Buck and Morris families, Te Mata Estate has become synonymous with exceptional New Zealand winemaking and a commitment to quality. As the estate marks its milestone, this dinner event serves as a celebration of the dedication and vision that has shaped their remarkable journey.
At the heart of the celebration lies Coleraine, the iconic wine that has captivated enthusiasts worldwide. This year marks the 40th anniversary of Coleraine's inception in 1982, a testament to its timeless appeal.
Guests will have the opportunity to experience the essence of Te Mata as they indulge in the unveiling of the 2022 vintage showcase wines paired with culinary delights from Onemata Head Chef, Rob Hope-Ede and Executive Pastry Chef, Callum Liddicoat. A five-course dinner hosted by Te Mata's chief executive Nicholas Buck, with canapés on arrival and a paired journey through Te Mata Estate, this is a night not to be missed.
"We are thrilled to commemorate this significant milestone in Te Mata's history," says Suraj GC, Hotel Sommelier. "This event is a celebration of the dedication and passion that has defined their journey over the past five decades.”
