Celebrate Love in Loveland
Loveland, AKA Sweetheart City, is the true heart of Colorado, where Valentine's Day lasts all year! This February, you can commit to love with a lock, a kiss or by taking part in a mass wedding. Loveland is the perfect holiday destination during the month of love. Tucked into the Front Range mountains between Fort Collins and Denver, Loveland is made for intimate getaways. In 2024, the town's annual Sweetheart Festival is set to return with the biggest line of events yet.
- Run the 4-mile sweetheart classic, watch the cute Miss Valentine and Mr Cupid contest, view gravity-defying ice sculptures down 4th street and listen to a live romantic symphony at Rialto Theatre.
- Lock in your love up for eternity with friends, family or loved ones by engraving your lock and placing it at Loveland's famous LOVE or HEART sculptures, the USA's largest love-lock sculpture.
- Pledge the ultimate commitment at Loveland's annual Valentine's Day Group Wedding, in a fully personalised ceremony. New this year, in partnership with the Colorado Eagles, lucky couples can exchange or renew their vows on the ice prior before the ice hockey game.
Love Reigns: Loveland's Valentine Re-mailing Tradition!
For the past 77 years, Loveland, the Sweetheart City, has orchestrated the largest Valentine Re-mailing Program in the U.S. Each year, more than 100,000 stamped Valentines are sent to the Loveland Post Office inside larger envelopes. A brigade of volunteers will unpack the envelopes, hand-stamp Valentines with a special design and chosen verse for that year and send them to intended recipients.
