December 5, 2023 – Exclusive Collection's South Lodge, is ending the year strong with three new accolades under its belt. In 2023 alone the, already award-winning, hotel and spa has been presented with three further awards: 'Best Spa in the South-East' at the Good Spa Guide Awards, 'Sustainable Hotel of the Year' at the Hotel Cateys, and 'Spa Hotel of the Year' at the AA Hospitality Awards.

'Best Spa in the South East' at the Good Spa Guide Awards 

In December, South Lodge was recognised with the Best Spa in the South-East award at the Good Spa Guide Awards. This year was the 8th iteration of the regional awards and was held at the Sanderson London, celebrating the best in the industry with a Mad Hatter's-themed afternoon tea. The West Sussex hotel was recognised and selected based on the institution's rigorous Good Spa Guide Bubble Rating assessments, along with their Spa Spies' expert opinions. This year marks the second year that an Exclusive Collection's spa has won the award – with Pennyhill Park having won in 2022. 

'Sustainable Hotel of the Year' at the Hotel Cateys  

South Lodge was named Sustainable Hotel of the Year at the prestigious Hotel Cateys on Monday 13th November. The West Sussex hotel was recognised for combining significant green initiatives with sound business sense, “setting an example on sustainability”. As the UK's first B Corp certified hotel group, Exclusive Collection is relentless in its pursuit of using business as a force for good through measurement, improvement and accountability of its actions and initiatives. Sustainability is a huge focus and driving force for General Manager Dan Wait and his team with the commitment crossing every department and reaching every person within the hotel and the wider South Lodge estate.  

'Spa Hotel of the Year' at the AA Hospitality Awards 

Announced in a prestigious ceremony on 25 September, South Lodge was honoured and commended as Spa Hotel of the Year for 2023. During the ceremony Pennyhill Park's Latymer restaurant was also awarded AA's top hospitality award of five AA Rosettes while The Pass, at South Lodge, received four AA Rosettes. The AA has been awarding Rosettes since 1956; an accolade awarded to the most outstanding restaurants that achieve standards that demand recognition well beyond their local area. The AA remains one of the most respected and comprehensive guides in the UK.
