Vueling, part of IAG, won the 'Best for Flying' award on 20 November at the prestigious Travolution Awards ceremony in London.
The Travolution Awards celebrate the best innovations and technological solutions to help businesses operate efficiently and provide the best possible customer experience. The 'Best for Flying' category judges expertise and success within the aviation sector.
The judges were impressed by several disruptive innovative ideas as part of Vueling Transform, which aims to position Vueling at the forefront of technological developments in aviation.
- Vueling's impressive technology team is comprised of a group of over 500 people who work to develop digital solutions which drive the digital transformation of the company.
- Under Vueling's transformation plan, the airline developed intelligent chatbots to improve customer service and models for network planning.
- The airline also developed biometric boarding at Barcelona airport in collaboration with AENA as part of the Customer Experience Approach.
- Vueling prides itself on operational robustness and was named the second most punctual 'low cost' airline in Europe in 2022 by Cirium.
