The Sebel has announced it will soon reveal its latest property in the heart of Sydney's CBD with the arrival of The Sebel Sydney Martin Place. The newly curated premium hotel is currently undergoing a multi-million-dollar refurbishment, set to bring a new essence of style and sophistication to the city.
Unassumingly tucked away on Phillip Street, The Sebel will boast a newly designed artful decor, with an effortlessly chic set of 86 rooms in what can only be described as a contemporary oasis in the midst of the city.
The latest The Sebel property, the first within Sydney's financial district, will replace the current Mercure Sydney Martin Place, after the acquisition by Salter Brothers, who will join one of the largest hotel management portfolios alongside Accor. Together they'll deliver a complete sophisticated transformation of the property, contributing more broadly to the continuing revitalisation of the world-famous city centre.
Paul Salter, Managing Director, Salter Brothers commented, “Salter Brothers is excited about our investment in The Sebel brand. The newly branded property will elevate the hotel, providing guests with an intimate, bespoke upscale The Sebel experience.”
Conceptualised and executed by leading Australian designers, Stack Studio, alongside construction partner, Schiavello, The Sebel's new modern interior will provide a stylish escape from its surroundings, while still allowing guests a front-row seat to all on offer in close proximity around the hotel.
With an ease in design and a definite focus on creating luxurious interiors, the new hotel will offer a tranquil retreat with an essence of opulence. Its ambient lighting presents a perpetual dance between darkness and light, showcasing spectacular tones and textures, with the beauty of The Sebel's artwork echoing louder, and the elegance of its finishing touches radiating brighter.
This year, The Sebel is proudly celebrating its 60th anniversary in Australia and New Zealand. Under the guidance of Accor, The Sebel has continued to thrive and evolve and now has 34 properties across Australia and New Zealand, presenting the extensive rich history held today, alongside a sense of patriotic pride, vaunting local knowledge and expertise.
Lydia Herd, General Manager of The Sebel Sydney Martin Place also describes the property as a hotel that is about “more than just rooms”. Commenting, “The Sebel surrenders itself to its locale, establishing itself as a native hotel, perfect for discovering Global Sydney by foot.”
The Sebel Sydney Martin Place has officially rebranded and its entire refurbishment will revealed in January.
